The WBENC certification for women-owned businesses is one of the most widely recognized and respected certifications in the nation. Accepted by thousands of corporations within the country and a number of federal and government agencies, WBENC is the Women's Business Enterprise National Council and is comprised of 14 regional partner organizations. Being certified as a WBE means that a business concern has gone through a rigorous and stringent certification process to confirm the business is owned, managed, and controlled by a woman or women. Who it serves: WBENC certification is an important marketing tool for expanding visibility among decision makers in corporate supply chain diversity and procurement. If your company has supplier diversity goals or markets products/services to women, then aligning yourself with On-Demand Group allows you to hold a copy of our certification. |

The Metropolitan Council operates two distinct small business development programs. One is the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program which is utilized for federally funded transit related projects and the other includes the Women and Minority Business Enterprise (WMBE) and Small Business in Rural Areas (SBRA) Programs which utilizes Public Facilities grants for environmental services related projects. Who it serves: This certification allows ODG access to Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), Metropolitan Airport Commission, and Metropolitan Council requisitions otherwise not available to the general public. Due to On-Demand being DBE certified, we gain access to prized opportunities and in return these agencies meet their supplier diversity initiatives. |

SDB certification strictly pertains to benefits in
federal procurement to the socially and economically
disadvantaged firms which come under 8(a) program of
SBA. 8(a) firms automatically qualify for SDB
certification. SBA authorize SDBs to make them eligible
for special bidding benefits.
Who it serves: By On-Demand holding the SDB certification, it can help your company meet its supplier diversity goals and programs. |

The Materials Management Division (MMD) operates a program for Targeted Group and Economically Disadvantaged small businesses. Businesses eligible to participate in this program must first of all be Minnesota-based small businesses. The commissioner of Administration periodically designates businesses that are majority-owned and operated by women, persons with a substantial physical disability, or specific minorities as targeted group businesses within purchasing categories as determined by the commissioner. Targeted Group small businesses must be certified as such by MMD in order to participate in the program. Who it serves: By being certified with the MMD, the business may also be eligible to participate in similar state-funded programs operated by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) and several Metropolitan Agencies. Partners with ODG can get access to more opportunities as well as gaining a set percentage higher on scoring for competitive bids at the State of Minnesota. |
