We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in C#/.NET and Azure to design and implement scalable, maintainable backend services and APIs. This role is aligned with Gartner best practices for cloud-native and API-first architectures, emphasizing modularity, service decoupling, and automated delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to analyze and document current state
- Ability to document and present recommendations for future state
- Define service boundaries, drive decoupling, and modularize business logic for maintainability and reusability
- Apply Gartner best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring
- Collaborate with Architects and stakeholders to ensure system design meets scalability, reliability, and performance standards
- Assist in leading backend/API modernization initiatives from concept to production, ensuring alignment with Gartner-recommended practices (API-first, cloud-native, decoupled services)
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable APIs using C#/.NET
- Utilize our Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD, testing, and releases
- Recommend and implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Recommend and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and clean architecture
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex production issues
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, Cosmos DB, SQL, Event Grid, Service Bus, etc.)
- Solid understanding of business logic layering, separation of concerns, and clean architecture principles
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Mandatory)
- Understanding of integrate backend services with SaaS platforms such as Salesforce (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and project management (nice to have)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
The projected hourly range for this position is $68 to $75.
