Description of Engagement
The business/solution analyst resource under this engagement will define requirements and research/analyze options for potential replacement solution(s). The resource will provide software application recommendation(s) that balance cost with technical capabilities, usability / user experience, flexibility, and compatibility with company systems.
Tasks
Requirements Definition:
- Conduct a thorough review of the current P/T Contracts Database (P/T Database) and Contract Information System (CIS) applications to document existing functionalities, processes, and any limitations or gaps.
- Facilitate workshops or interviews with stakeholders to identify additional features or modifications needed in the new solution.
- Develop a detailed requirements document for replacement application(s) that includes user interface, hosting, functionality, compliance, integration, and reporting needs.
- Market Research and Software Recommendations:
- Research and evaluate available software options that meet the requirements for the P/T Database and CIS applications, primarily considering commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.
- Research and evaluate existing “in-house” software options leveraging available resources and licensing.
- Provide a comparative analysis of software options, assessing each solution for alignment with requirements, integration capabilities, and cost implications.
2. Final Report and Presentation:
- Compile a comprehensive report with findings, recommendations, integration strategies, and a suggested implementation approach.
- Present findings to key stakeholders, providing an opportunity for questions and clarifications.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing technology solution assessments and/or replacements, especially within public sector settings.
- Experience with project management tools.
- Experience with procurement and financial integration requirements.
The projected hourly range for this position is $65 to $90.
