Job Title: AS400 Developer
Job Type: Contract (9 Month)
Job Location: Remote


Schedule: Monday through Friday  8:00 – 5:00 PM CST, with possibly some weekend included.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AS400 Developer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) development, including RPG IV/ILE, CL, and DB2/400. You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting business applications running on the AS400 platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform using RPG IV/ILE, CL, and SQL.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Support and enhance existing applications to meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and other developers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Maintain technical documentation and provide user support and training as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in AS400/iSeries development.
  • Proficiency in RPG IV/ILE, CL, and DB2/400.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC
  • Experience with data modeling and performance tuning on DB2/400.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The projected hourly range for this position is $45 to $50.
