Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 – 5:00 PM CST, with possibly some weekend included.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AS400 Developer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) development, including RPG IV/ILE, CL, and DB2/400. You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting business applications running on the AS400 platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform using RPG IV/ILE, CL, and SQL.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. - Support and enhance existing applications to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and other developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Maintain technical documentation and provide user support and training as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in AS400/iSeries development.
- Proficiency in RPG IV/ILE, CL, and DB2/400.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC
- Experience with data modeling and performance tuning on DB2/400.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The projected hourly range for this position is $45 to $50.
