Job Description Overview:

PCI Subject Matter Expert to support and strengthen our mature PCI environment. This role will focus on fine-tuning existing processes, ensuring readiness for upcoming PCI assessments and audits, and collaborating across internal teams and external vendors. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on PCI experience, the ability to interpret and apply PCI DSS requirements, and the communication skills to guide stakeholders through compliance activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure ongoing PCI compliance and audit readiness.
  • Review, refine, and improve existing PCI controls, processes, and documentation.
  • Support evidence gathering, gap analysis, and remediation ahead of formal assessments.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on PCI DSS, providing clear guidance to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Assist with coordinating audit activities, responses, and compliance reporting.
  • Educate cross-functional teams on PCI requirements, best practices, and responsibilities.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the PCI program and strengthen overall payment data security posture.


Must Have Requirements:

  • Proven, hands-on experience with PCI DSS compliance (implementation, remediation, or audit support).
  • Mid-level or higher experience in IT security, compliance, or payment data environments.
  • Strong understanding of PCI DSS requirements and how to operationalize them.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across business, technical, and vendor teams.


The projected hourly range for this position is $65 to $75.
