Overview
The Database Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and operating enterprise database platforms with a focus on reliability, scalability, and delivery enablement.
This role supports Snowflake as the primary analytics database platform while integrating with broader enterprise database platforms including PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, Oracle, and SQL Server.
This position focuses on platform engineering rather than analytics delivery. The role partners closely with cloud engineering, DevOps, security, and application teams to enable automated, consistent, and self-service database capabilities across development pipelines in an Azure cloud environment.
The Database Platform Engineer operates as a technical leader who drives platform adoption and delivery practices through standards, automation, and collaboration. This role is expected to drive the change transforming the database team into a CICD-enabled database platform team.
