Overview
The resource under this engagement will develop an application that integrates Microsoft ASP.NET Core MVC with Oracle 19c database services, generates PDF documents with iText 7, and is authenticated through an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure API Gateway. The application must be production-grade, highly secure, and fully accessible, including WCAG 2.1 A and AA compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Develop an ASP.NET Core MVC (C#) application in Microsoft Visual Studio 2022
• Design the Oracle 19c database schema, including tables, foreign keys, indexes, ER diagrams, and SQL DDL scripts
• Build Oracle views that aggregate data for reporting and PDF generation
• Create SQL view definitions
• Write SQL stored procedures for total calculations, business rule enforcement, and related logic
• Create iText 7 PDF templates for reports using the layout API
• Develop a PDF generation service that pulls data from Oracle, feeds it into templates, and streams PDFs to the client
• Perform accessibility audits and resolve WCAG 2.1 A and AA compliance issues in MVC views
• Integrate Oracle OCI IAM as an OAuth2 provider for the application authentication layer
• Configure OCI API Gateway for authentication and request validation
• Profile and tune performance, including slow Oracle queries and C# code, with indexing, logic improvements, and caching where needed
• Perform unit testing and resolve defects
• Perform security reviews and address vulnerabilities such as SQL injection risks through parameterized queries
• Check out and check in code changes in source control
• Handle production incidents, diagnose root causes, and deploy fixes
• Provide weekly status reports to project leadership
• Provide knowledge transfer to internal staff
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Senior-level experience in full-stack web development using ASP.NET Core MVC, C#, and .NET 8+ architecture in Microsoft Visual Studio 2022
• Experience working with Oracle 19c or later, including schema design, efficient SQL, views, indexes, and complex stored procedures or triggers
• Hands-on experience with PDF creation using iText 7 APIs, dynamic content, and templating
• Experience using Git/GitHub or equivalent source control tools, including branching strategies and pull request reviews
• Experience implementing secure authentication services through Oracle Cloud infrastructure and integrating them with web applications
• Experience building WCAG 2.1 A and AA compliant user interfaces, including accessibility testing tools, keyboard navigation, contrast validation, alt text, and related best practices
• Experience writing unit and integration tests and maintaining a high-coverage codebase
• Experience ensuring applications are resilient to common security threats and perform well under load
The projected hourly range for this position is $73 to $79.
