Seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to serve as a key reporting partner across the organization. This role will focus heavily on Power BI development, semantic modeling, and delivering high-quality reporting solutions to a diverse set of business teams.
Preference for a senior-level candidate who can help scale reporting capabilities, standardize Power BI usage, and support future integration efforts as the organization evolves its data platform.
Modern data environment where a dedicated Data Engineering team prepares curated datasets allowing you to focus on analytics, modeling, and business-facing insights rather than heavy ETL work.
- Support and manage Power BI Service (apps, workspaces, permissions, licensing)
- Optimize use of Fabric capacity
- Maintain and support legacy SSRS reports as needed
Strategic Contribution
- Help standardize reporting practices across the organization
- Support BI integration efforts
- Contribute to long-term BI and data platform evolution
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Power BI (reporting + semantic modeling)
- Advanced proficiency in DAX
- Solid SQL skills (querying, data validation, understanding backend structures)
- Experience managing Power BI Service environments (apps, workspaces, governance)
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with business stakeholders
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting across multiple teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SSRS (maintenance or decommissioning)
- Experience with Databricks
- Exposure to data platform migrations or cross-cloud environments
- Experience working alongside Data Engineering teams in modern data stacks
- Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS ecosystems
- Strong communicator who can work across technical and business teams
- Comfortable operating in a hybrid, evolving data environment
- Proactive and able to take ownership of BI initiatives
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and report usability
The projected hourly range for this position is $60 to $75.
