Overview

The Business Intelligence Engineer transforms raw data into clean, structured formats that analysts and stakeholders can use with confidence to gain insights. This role focuses on the practical implementation of data-driven solutions and ensuring data is accessible and usable.

This position works alongside architects and analysts to ensure that business users have access to reliable, scalable datasets.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with analysts and developers on data modeling
• Ensure data accuracy, scalability, and high performance
• Demonstrate technical experience in data mining and data analytics
• Support the analytics team with structured, clean datasets
• Work with strong SQL and scripting practices
• Support data warehousing and modeling efforts
• Work with ETL tools, APIs, and cloud data platforms
• Document architecture, transformations, and lineage
• Manage technical changes and system documentation

Requirements:
• Strong SQL and scripting abilities
• Experience with data warehousing and modeling practices
• Experience with ETL tools, APIs, and cloud data platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments
• Strong collaboration skills with ability to work across cross-functional teams
• Understanding of product model delivery, including sprint-based work, MVP scoping, and backlog grooming
• Interest in and eligibility for contract-to-hire conversion

Preferred Qualifications:
• Understanding of data security, access controls, and governance
• Confidence documenting systems and managing technical changes
• Experience working within Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring capabilities for junior team members

The projected hourly range for this position is $50 to $70.
