Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile practices for one or more development teams. This role is responsible for ensuring the predictable delivery of software releases while fostering continuous improvement in team performance, product quality, and delivery processes.
The ideal candidate is a servant leader who embodies Agile values, coaches teams toward higher maturity, and helps create an environment where teams can thrive.
Responsibilities:
• Serve and support Product Owners and Development Teams to help deliver high-quality solutions that delight customers
• Lead Agile and Scrum practices by example, promoting servant leadership principles
• Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum values, practices, and frameworks
• Guide teams toward effective self-organization and continuous improvement
• Assess Scrum maturity across teams and coach them toward higher levels of performance at a sustainable pace
• Identify and remove impediments, or guide teams in removing blockers
• Foster a safe, trusting environment where issues can be raised without fear of blame
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, team discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution
• Improve transparency through effective communication and information radiators
• Partner with Product Owners to support backlog refinement and prioritization
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements across delivery teams
• Perform other related duties as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Scrum Master certification (CSM or PSM I required)
• Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master for software development teams
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and practices (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.)
• Experience applying Agile techniques such as user stories, backlog refinement, CI/CD, automated testing, and retrospectives
• Demonstrated ability to distinguish between what is and is not Scrum
• Experience supporting multiple teams across varying sizes, maturity levels, and environments
• Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Track record of continuous learning and professional development in Agile/Scrum practices
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced Scrum certification (PSM II or CSP preferred)
• Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, TFS)
• Strong servant leadership mindset with the ability to influence without authority
• Experience coaching teams through change and Agile transformation initiatives
The projected hourly range for this position is $65 to $75.
