Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing one or more cross-departmental transformation projects that align with strategic goals, regulatory requirements, new product development, or operational initiatives. This role is accountable for end-to-end project performance, including timeline adherence, budget management, and delivery quality.

The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience supporting high-visibility transformation initiatives, along with a proactive, self-directed work style. Experience in the payer space is preferred, along with working knowledge of Medicare, CMS, STARS, and Risk Adjustment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage cross-departmental transformation projects from initiation through delivery
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define project scope, milestones, resource capacity, and business outcomes
• Identify and reassess resource requirements in alignment with budget constraints
• Partner with product management and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment across multiple teams and divisions
• Track and report project progress, including MVP status, to key stakeholders
• Develop and maintain critical path milestones and timelines to support business outcomes
• Ensure coordination and synchronization of project activities across business readiness, communications, process design, and technology delivery
• Ensure transparency and management of dependencies, issues, and risks, and facilitate resolution where needed
• Hold teams accountable for deliverables and commitments while helping remove obstacles and support decision-making
• Support project representatives in managing expectations for deliverables
• Manage project financials, including budget tracking, expenditures, forecasts, and issue resolution
• Support development of business cases in partnership with program leadership and cross-functional teams
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors
• Organize, motivate, and provide leadership to cross-functional teams
• Manage executive stakeholder communications

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience managing complex cross-departmental programs
• Experience leading cross-functional strategic and/or transformation programs
• 3+ years of experience managing large project budgets in excess of $1M
• Experience managing across business owners, technology owners, change managers, operational readiness teams, and training staff
• End-to-end program management experience, including Agile delivery methodologies
• Strong executive communication skills, including executive-level status reporting and presentations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Interest in and eligibility for contract-to-hire conversion without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the payer space
• Working knowledge of Medicare, CMS, STARS, and/or Risk Adjustment
• PMP certification
• Healthcare experience, particularly in a payer environment

The projected hourly range for this position is $85 to $90.
