Overview
Seeking an IT Project Manager for contract. This role is 100% remote and must work EST hours. The position will assist with the planning, execution, and delivery of a Microsoft Teams Calling project.
Responsibilities:
• Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope
• Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing
• Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables
• Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems
• Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of information technology projects
• Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel
• Establish and execute a project communication plan
• Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel
• Assist with the planning, execution, and delivery of the Microsoft Teams Calling project
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and external vendors, to ensure seamless project execution
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget
• Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, milestones, and any issues that arise
Requirements:
• Work EST hours
• 3-5 years Telephony experience moving to Teams in the organization
• Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience in project management of systems or services
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in IT or telecommunications projects
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams, including its calling features and integration capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strongly prefer candidate to be located on east coast
• PMP, PMI-ACP, PCSM, or other project management certifications
Technology Requirements:
• Database user interface and query software
• Development environment software
• Pattern design software
• Project management software
The projected hourly range for this position is $43 to $58.
