Overview
Seeking an onshore contractor with strong software engineering experience to support backend and API-focused development work. Preference is for candidates local to Minnesota, but remote candidates are open for consideration.
Responsibilities:
• Develop REST services or APIs
• Design and build solutions using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Git, Docker, Terraform, SQL, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS, AWS S3, and Apache Kafka
• Support development in AWS-based environments
• Collaborate with technical teams through the interview, onboarding, and delivery timeline
Requirements:
• Extensive experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Git, Docker, Terraform, SQL, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS, AWS S3, and Apache Kafka
• Experience developing REST services or APIs
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot, Quarkus, JAX-RS / Jakarta RESTful Web Services, React.js, Kong API Gateway, CommonJS, FHIR, X12, AWS DynamoDB, OIDC/OAuth2.0
• Experience working in a healthcare or health insurance space
• Experience designing for AWS infrastructure
• Experience designing test plans or doing performance testing or optimization
The projected hourly range for this position is $70 to $80.
